Job Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing the confirmation of shipments into our ERP system and capturing any issues of that process and reporting them to the proper team members for review and resolution. This role will also be used to help support the shipping process by aiding in research of customer short shipments and providing the proper documentation as requested by our sales team personnel and customers directly to support the shipments made to those customers. This can include but is not limited to shipment tracking information, packing slip reprinting and Bills Of Lading capture and sending said information to the sales personnel or customers via email communications. This role may also be used to support the general shipping process which could include the providing of information to our customers via their shipping portals, checking outbound shipments, labeling outbound shipments and assisting in the overall process flow as directed by the area Team Lead. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Execute hourly the shipment confirmations in our ERP system for all outbound shipments.
  • Capturing of an error messages when confirming shipments and reporting those to the proper personnel.
  • Research any requested shipping error resolutions and provide documentation and tracking information as requested.
  • Confirm process scans and order picking confirmations to the work order IDs provided by the ERP system as needed to support any research requests.
  • Assist the outbound shipping processes to include paperwork management, labelling, shipment verification and customer shipment portal interactions as required.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and follow up skills                       
  • Microsoft Excel capability                           
  • Clear communicator with a strong ability to navigate through data to “tell the story”
  • Ability to function within cross team collaboration
  • Ability to learn new computer system processes and follow said processes as required

 

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in warehouse operations
  • Experience in ERP or similar process support and engagement
  • Experience in managing filing activities including document retrieval
  • High school graduate with some college experience or at least 2 years of qualified experience is required. A college degree is a plus.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Mobility to work in typical office and field (warehouse/production) settings and use standard office equipment. Strength to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
