The 1959 ES-335 is a standout for both players and collectors, and this particular instrument features its original Sunburst finish and long pickguard (pickguards were shortened post-1959).

The guitar has been well played but not abused. The only modification made to this instrument from its original state was a professional re-fret with vintage-correct fret wire. This ES-335 is an original stop-tail model that was never modified for a Bigsby® vibrato and has its original PAF pickups, wiring harness, and brown Lifton™ 5-latch hardshell case. There is some arm wear and a couple of deep scratches on the top bass-side bout where the arm rests.

Availability Date: The purchased instrument will be available for pickup at the Gibson Garage in Nashville or shipment to an address in the US starting September 28, 2023.

A NEW WARRANTY, PLUS TWO CASES — OLD AND NEW

Alongside a certificate of authenticity and limited lifetime warranty, in addition to its vintage Lifton case, the guitar will also ship with a modern Gibson Deluxe Protector Series case. Enclosed will be a detailed letter of appraisal confirming the provenance and history of the instrument, signed by Gibson’s Director of Brand Experience, Mark Agnesi, and Gibson’s Vice President of Product, Mat Koehler.

The buyer will also be invited to visit the Gibson Garage in Nashville for a guided tour of the Vault.
