Job Summary: The job of the Gibson Material Handler Team Lead is to directly lead and coordinate the activities involving safety matters, receiving, storing, transferring, picking material for production and inventory control of components and consumables.
Essential Functions:
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the process of receiving and storing materials.
- Insuring all employees are following standard work and engaging their teams daily.
- Report daily key performance indicators (KPI) for separate areas. KPI’s to correspond with the production system requirements.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all urgent requests from other departments.
- Inventory control functions such as cycle counting and adjustments.
- Coordinate the picking and shipping of transfer orders to other facilities.
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
- Read and analyse charts, work orders, production schedules and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Learn and master all tasks to be able to serve as a backup for each function
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solutions oriented approach to challenges/issues.
- Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong teamwork and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.
- Computer skills/knowledge.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma Or GED required.
- Woodworking and guitar experience is a plus.
- Prior experience of supervising at least 10 or more employees.
- Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, very high-growth environment.

- Projects and/or other duties as requested by management.
- Be an integral member of various project teams to change/improve processes as the company evolves.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner.
Physical Demands:
- While performing this job, an employee is regularly required to stand, bending, stretching, kneel, crouch, walking, and use hands to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- This position is frequently required to lift up to 35 lbs. and move more than 100 pounds.
- While performing this job, the employee is regularly working near moving equipment (example: forklifts).
