Scuff Sander- Custom

Job Summary:  The purpose of a Scuff Sander is to remove any imperfections in the surface of the base coat of lacquer. This will result in a smooth and consistent finish on the guitar. 

Essential Functions:

• Learn and execute standard operating procedures.
• Use an orbital sander without burning through the lacquer.  
• Able to use 400 grit sandpaper by hand.
• 95% pass rate based on production requirements. 
• Understands and meets quality standards (Specs.) 
• Maintains product flow at appropriate rate. 
• Adheres to department protocols (5S and Safety) 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail. 
• Develop a strong knowledge of the different models.
• Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision. 
• Teamwork and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.  

Education and Experience:

• Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
