Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly organized Marketing Operations Manager to join our team. The Marketing Operations Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing. The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating the development and review of all content for omni-channel marketing, ensuring the successful design and implementation of digital initiatives and omni-channel campaigns. Marketing Ops manages the flow of information and assets to and from the creative team, and monitors adherence to brand standards and creative deadlines.
The Marketing Operations Manager will ensure effective processes and consistent experiences across all teams within creative (editorial, copy, design), and will collaborate with partners (Brand Planning, Digital/DTC Marketing, Retail/Trade Marketing, Creative and Content and Entertainment Relations) on developing all cross functional initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Manage creative process and workflow from creative brief submission to release of digital assets.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between creatives, content producers, designers, copywriters, and outside partners.
- Review assets for accuracy prior to review by the cross functional teams
- Attend asset review meetings and vet feedback for the creative and production teams.
- Initiate creative concept meetings after content submission to drive collaboration between creative and production teams.
- Ensure campaigns are represented as a full omni-channel experience.
- Manage vendor approvals for brand assets.
- Create and manage timelines for photography (product and lifestyle), copy and design, and manage deadlines for creative assets.
- Develop and refine effective workflow processes, scheduling strategies, and communication models.
- Communicate obstacles and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Supervise flow and quality of information into the creative team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on system integration and incorporating new processes, tools, and workflow systems.
- Work on behalf of Director or Marketing to develop, maintain, communicate, and train internal teams and external resources/teams on brand standards.
- Maintain understanding of all aspects of brand standards, design, and production process.
- Arbitrate communication issues between marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure clear and consistent goals and KPIs.
- Owns and maintains traffic system (MONDAY.com) and Digital Asset Management system (Brand folder)
- Communicating and building strong connections with executive leadership
- Leading and managing a department’s vision.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of design, copy, and photography, and digital creative deliverables
- Knowledge of implementation and utilization of technologies that support creative team (workflow/project management, digital asset management/DAM) and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent multitasking, project management and leadership skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Project Management, Business Operations or equivalent degree or related work experience
- 5+ years of experience in direct operational management (agency or brand side)
- Project Management Certification a plus
- Knowledge of Go to Market Process
Travel Requirements:
- This position is mostly office based but may involve irregular travel.
