Job Summary: 

 

The Data Operations Specialist is responsible for developing and managing the global data quality program and governance strategy for improving the reliability of data and its processes.  The focus of this role is on product data (i.e., category & brand hierarchy, pricing and pricelists, Product Development BOM, and other SKU attribute requirements).   This role will be responsible for leading the implementation of a data management operations system for product attributes and pricing (PLM and/or PIM tool).

 

Essential Functions:

  • Product data quality and governance strategy and process implementation
  • Product attributes and system maintenance (SKU integration, maintenance, etc)
  • Streamlining the pricing process (processes & procedures)
  • Implement system tools for product data and lifecycle management (vendor supported)
  • Superuser for system (PIM, PLM, ERP)
  • Ongoing review and maintenance of product data integrity (pricelists, system data, etc)
  • Administrative pricelist ownership
  • Support product reporting and analysis
  • Cross functional support (ad hoc)
  • Other Duties as requested

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to develop, refine, and implement processes and ‘ways of working’.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision. 
  • Technology literacy (MS Office)
  • Extensive use of MS Excel in combination with (ideally) Power BI

 

Education and Experience:

  • 3- 5 years’ experience managing data:
    1. Strong understanding of managing the full data lifecycle.
    2. Understanding of the interaction between data flows and business processes
    3. Experience developing and implementing data quality programs.
    4. Experience with data cleansing
    5. Understanding of data governance
  • Experience working with PLM / PIM tools; implementation experience a plus.
  • Experience with data reporting and data analysis (product-related is preferred)
  • Previous experience with D-365 ERP system preferred.
  •  Experience working across functions to drive projects toward common goals.
