Finished in exclusive Surf Bronco vinyl with a Bone grille cloth, the Falcon 20 1x12 combo amp pays homage to Gibson’s legendary past as one of the world’s first manufacturers of electric guitar amplifiers. While inspired by the Gibson Falcon amps from the 50s and 60s, the Falcon 20 is a new design from renowned amp pioneer Randall Smith and the MESA/Boogie® Design Team. Handcrafted in Petaluma, California, the Falcon 20 stands out from its predecessors thanks to modern quality-of-life upgrades and tonal improvements informed by Randall’s five decades of tube amp design experience and performance-pushing mindset.

Vintage aesthetics combine with the exclusive Surf Bronco vinyl and Bone grille cloth, resulting in an amplifier that looks stylish on stage or in the studio while providing vintage-inspired tone with modern features for today’s players. The control panel takes a simple approach, with Volume and Tone controls to shape the dry sound and gain level of the amplifier. Footswitchable onboard reverb and tremolo then add three-dimensional depth and vintage vibe to the Falcon 20’s sound.

Convenient modern features include Multi-Watt™ technology and a Monitor Output. Using the supplied 6V6 power tubes, Multi-Watt technology allows the player to select between Full, Half, or Low (12, 5, or 1-watt) power modes for precise control over volume and clean headroom. As a result, power amp overdrive can be achieved without peeling paint from the walls and can be adjusted to suit many playing environments. The Falcon 20 can also be powered by a pair of optional 6L6 power tubes to bump the switchable power ratings to 15, 6, or 2-watts. The Monitor Out acts as a padded send that can feed additional power amplifiers for bigger stage applications or be used in conjunction with external speaker simulations or impulse responses in a recording scenario.
