Manufacturing Execution System Technician
Return to Career Listings // Manufacturing Execution System TechnicianJob Summary: Implement and maintain data integrity of Manufacturing Execution System. Troubleshooting and training team members on data input and business intelligence outputs. Manage change implementation with regard to system development.
Essential Functions:
- Assist and maintain definition and implementation of an optimum end to end order to delivery process regarding data, information flow, transaction automation and KPIs leveraging industry best practices and MES systems solutions.
- Ensure system data is up to date including timely change management and New Product Introductions.
- Conduct workshops and work with Business Function Leads and/or representatives from other areas to ensure seamless integration of data and information required to manage and control their processes.
- Collaborate with other functional team members to develop common / global processes where possible, while ensuring regional and local needs are also met.
- Lead and facilitate the delivery of Project Deliverables required to ensure an effectively functioning MES system.
- Assist in development, review, and approval of reporting, KPIs, and analytics requirements as defined by the business stakeholders.
- Participates in development of requirements for legacy MES conversion to the new system, including data mapping. Working closely with the data team to ensure that requirements are met.
- Supports data quality/cleansing efforts as well as help to define long term master data control policies, procedures, and metrics.
- Leads requirements documentation, development of testing plans and scenarios, test execution and results tracking. Ensuring that all aspects of system functions are fully tested through all phases.
- Participates in the development and documentation of security requirements for all users.
- Leads training requirements definition, authoring and testing.
- Works with the Change Management team and functional team members to develop comprehensive change management plan including user documentation.
- Work in collaboration with business owners and leaders to provide ongoing review and support of MES processes to ensure business units maintain and improve use of the delivered business application solution.

- Continue to identify optimization opportunities for processes and systems usage.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS word, excel and power point.
- Extensive knowledge of Gibson guitars
- Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solutions oriented approach to challenges/issues
Education and Experience:
- Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision.
- Teamwork and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.
- Prior experience with MES implementation and support
- Extensive guitar knowledge
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand all day and lift guitars throughout the day.
