Paul Weller Signs SG for Gibson Foundation Sponsored Teenage Cancer Trust Concert in London

The Gibson Foundation Gibson Foundation the philanthropic division of Gibson Guitar recently sponsored Paul Weller’s acoustic headline show at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust Charity. Paul Weller was joined on stage by Ocean Colour Scenes Steve Craddock while the support came from new Welsh Soul sensation Duffy.

Legendary artist Paul Weller is photographed backstage at The Royal Albert Hall where he personally signed a Gibson SG guitar which was later auctioned off at a private Deutsche Bank event raising further money for the Teenage Cancer Trust Charity. Also photographed backstage with Paul Weller was The Who’s lead singer and curator of the charity concerts Roger Daltrey.

The sold out show was part of the Teenage Cancer Trust’s week long run of charity concerts fronted and organized by The Who’s lead singer Roger Daltrey. The concerts now in its eighth year kicked off on Tuesday 8th April with Madness followed by shows from Noel Fielding (Comedy night- Wed), Paul Weller and Duffy (Thursday 10th ), The Fratellis (Friday 11th), Muse (Saturday 12th) and David Gray, Joan Armatrading, Newton Faulkner and The Who closing the week with a rare acoustic set on Sunday 13th April 2008.
